Hello !
We're students from Tohoku university of art and design in Japan.
“Chitto motche” means "little funny" and "interesting" in Japanese.
We expressed what we think "Chitto motche" in our artwork with oil and print.

わたしたちは日本の東北芸術工科大学の学生です。
“Chitto motche”とは日本語で“ちょっとおもしろい”という意味です。
３人のそれぞれ感じた“Chitto motche”を、油絵と版画で表現しました。

Hiroyuki Omori
I'm taking printing course at university, and currently studying on copperplate printing.
Mainly I'm drawing a hat using sopperplate print and pen by dotting them on the panel.
Theme of the hat I draw is based on my favorite actor Charles Chaplin, that I like from a childhood, which is tall and have a original shape.
I learned from Chaplin that arts make people happy.
I would like to continue creating arts that makes people happy.

私は、大学で版画コースに属し、現在は銅版画の勉強に励んでいます。
そして、銅版画やペンを使って、細かな点や線で主に帽子を描いています。
私の作品に描かれている帽子は、私が幼少期から好きなイギリスの映画俳優チャールズ・チャップリンが、よく被っていた山高帽がモチーフとなっています。
私はチャップリンを通して、人を幸せにするということを学びました。
私は、私の作品を見てくれた人が、少しでも感動や幸福などの心を動かす感情を持ってくれるような作品を作りたいです。

いろいろな所にでかけることがすきで、旅先でみつけたものや人、風景を吸収して作品に描き起こしています。
人と人とのつながり、自然と共に生きることに焦点を当て、人のくらしをテーマに作品を作っています。
作品を通していろいろな人と出会い、そこから何か生まれてくれたらうれしいです。
