Please imagine, you are standing on the grassland, with your eyes closed.
You’ll be able to hear the sound of clear wind blowing.
Please imagine you are standing on the field, with your eyes opened.
You’ll be able to see the sunlight in the pink morning and the starlights in the blue evening.
This is the world of Kenji Miyazawa. He was one of the famous writers.
He wrote many stories.
He said that rainbows, the sunlight and the moonlight, in the woods and fields or on the tracks made him write fantastic tales.
And he also said that we could eat beautiful and clear wind, or drink the sunlight in the wonderful morning.
He felt those beautiful things were like food.
Can you understand what he said?
I can! I can imagine his world!
And I want to go on feeling his world.
